About Us – Our Unique Story

Hi my name is Dave, and I am the owner and author of Bondingexplorers.com.
I travel the world full-time together with my daughter Vanessa, who just turned 14.

We love adventure travel, while doing online school and work at the same time. With our home base in Bali and Spain, we try to travel as much and as slow possible, so we can explore the areas in detail and take in as much as possible of each of the countries we visit.

We love South east Asia, for the people, nature, affordability and incredible experiences. One of our favorite cities is Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, which has so much vibrancy and includes all the different Religious cultures in one beautiful city.

Travel has always been our favorite thing in the world from a young age, and I was looking how to improve my connection with my daughter, while gaining invaluable experiences traveling. After talking to several people and hearing their stories, i made my decision. It’s time to go on our first trip together as a fatherdaughter duo.

Here is where our travel life together all started

It was to Costa Rica in 2021, for just a short 8 days. And it was a vacation we will always remember. The country’s incredible natural beauty, diverse outdoor activities like canyoning, rafting and zip-lining plus the delicious food made it an extraordinary experience. We had the time of our lives and promised to continue our duo travels in the near future.

Two years later, we set off on our next adventure to our favourite country—Thailand. We spent two weeks training in Muay Thai Boxing and then another two weeks diving in Koh Samui. It was pure magic, and our bond as father and daughter reached a new level. The more we travel and spend time together, the stronger our connection grows. After Thailand, we journeyed to Vietnam, and that’s when we decided to take our adventures to the next stage, which soon turned into a full time pursuit.

We absolutely love adventure travel, whether it’s diving, canyoning, climbing, wakeboarding, via ferrata, or embarking on epic hikes to discover hidden waterfalls. While we do enjoy a touch of luxury now and then, we’re especially drawn to finding that perfect bargain Airbnb or renting a local house to truly immerse ourselves in the local culture.

Meeting new people and hearing their stories is essential to our journeys, and we’re always eager to connect with like-minded travelers. We also love visiting local guides who can reveal the true beauty of an area, sharing the best tips and hidden gems. so we can share them again with you, our readers!
